3 Rainy, Rainy, Rainy Days.

No pics, too wet for camera of course. All this rain is really making the forest fill in, though! Blink and it is greener. Lots of flowers, too. Still the whites- Rue Anemone, Early Saxifrage, Star Chickweed, Common Strawberry, Pussytoes, and White Voilets, now joined by the first Blackberry blossoms. The yellows are coming en masse- Dandilions of course, and Cinquefoil, Indian Strawberry, Buttercups, Common Winter Cress. A few Common Blue (even though we all know they are clearly purple) Voilets are still hanging around, and Periwinkle. Wild Geranium, Bluets of course. And yesterday the first of the Showy Orchids and Wild Iris ( Dwarf Crested, lovely deep purple) coming up along the road. Also this is definitely an incomplete list of current blooms, but it is just those off the top of my head.

All pictures from www.wildflower.org, which is a wonderful site, by the way. But honestly pictures aren't always great.
