Outdoors and In

Pineapple Sage still going strong,
despite its delicate zone 9 hardiness.
I was really amazed to see it last Spring, I assumed it had died the December before
-as tropical annuals do-
but instead it beat the cold-hardiness odds and came back again from the root.
It is in such a lovely warm spot against the brick.
I find red clay helps to keep roots warm in the winter,
same as it bakes them in July.

Miss Hibiscus keeping the indoor party going strong....

 At least until evening.

December Evening

I found doughnuts in the freezer just now.........
Chocolate doughnuts.
Too bad you aren't here.

It's pretty happy.

One less toy.......
But on the plus side there is some lovely chicken wire if you need it.
So many uses for chicken wire.
Brilliant stuff.

But he is getting to be a little wagger!

You rub my belly??

Cause belly rubs make me verraaa verraa happy.
And I might forget to be terrified of life......

But just for a little bit.

Gwen is as Bad as a Parrot

Hi Meg.
Just looking for a sunny spot to have an after-breakfast nap...

Hey.... Hey- you lying down there?

Yeah, well I am not buying that whole
thing about trying to get a picture of me at my own eye level.
I need a comfy spot right now.

Frosty Morn

We are well and truly in the Land of the Frozen Water Buckets for the winter.

Goat milking stand.....

Chrysanthemum glad she is not in milk.

Poor Owl...... he is very cold.
I had to fight Fritha off to get this picture-
I was actually surprised to see she hadn't played with Owl already this morning.
