Fall Socks

Just finished- pretty happy with the design, came out perfectly. And the yarn is amazing. Personally, I don't see a need for super wash merino- what is so hard about sloshing something in the sink?- but nice to know there is a really good organic option for those that want to through it in the wash rather than the chemical laden stuff that is most superwash. And it is nice for socks, I will admit.

So few Monarchs

The first year I was here, I would come out in the morning to so many Monarchs floating around, was really lovely. Monarchs are so special, it was truly wonderful. But not so in years since. This year I have only seen three today, two yesterday, and one earlier in the week. Not quite the same. But still nice to see any!

Welcome, Cold Front

Butterflies and pollinators, flowers bloom by seed heads; jewel shades of green, just touched with reds and golds.
